Similar to my Shimano HG freehub measuring tool, a tool designed telling SRAM XD drivers from the new XDR drivers at a glance. Drop it onto the driver body, and the stepped end that lines up with the end of the driver indicates if this is the shorter XD or the new, 1.85mm longer XDR driver.
XD cassettes can be used on XDR drivers with a 1.85mm spacer, but XDR cassettes will not work on an XD driver, so it's best to know what you've got on hand if you're not absolutely certain.
