The Abbey HAG is a phenomenal tool, and one of the standards of mechanics everywhere. Thanks to its extraordinarily compact size, it is found in travel toolboxes of many mechanics. The HAG ships with a little rubber cap to protect the threads, and that's nice enough, but I wanted something a little nicer, and easier to get on and off. Thus, I created the "HAG Hat" which threads onto the HAG to protect the threads and the exposed steel shaft so they don't get banged up if it's loose in your toolbox.
Now available in colors. No, the green is not a very good match. I've actually been asked to not match that shade of green by Abbey.
Thanks to Keith McRae for the idea of adding an optional Shimano crank cap tool. The body of the HAG Hat isn't quite big enough if you come across a particularly tight crank cap, so I've added an internal Torx 25 to help persuade those.
