Description
Digital download of the files to print your own top loading brake blocks for the TRP 4 piston brakes such as the TRP DH that take pads compatible with Shimano 4 piston brakes. To the best of my knowledge, this includes all current TRP 4 piston brakes, but I'm not well versed in the full line so can't guarantee this. If it's a 4 piston TRP caliper and it's designed to work with 1.8 or 2.3mm disks, then it should work. You can confirm by measuring the width of the pad pocket (inline with the pad retaining pin) and it should be about 12mm.
Please note! This is not the files for the Uniblock that I'm selling on the store. The Uniblock is a much more complicated print and requires a multi toolhead printer due to the mixing of flexible and rigid materials. These blocks are the previous design which has a separate bleed and piston exposure block.
Also note this is for personal use only and is NOT a commercial license. You can't sell these, and please don't post them on any file sharing sites, including remixes. If you've got an idea for improvement, please let me know.
Printing instructions:
These are designed to print quickly and easily, so the directions are basic. Any basic filament, PETG or PLA, will do just fine. I used a 0.2-0.3mm layer height for a 0.4mm nozzle with 3 shells. You do not have to up the infill because there is internal geometry which triggers the creation of a support structure that lines up with the pistons, so high infill is just waste. No supports are needed.
When I was printing these, I would color code it by inserting a color change on the first layer above the text cutout, and then again before the top of the block. That's entirely up to you.
After printing, you can press a 5x2 magnet into the top of the handle for storage.
