In the photo, I used a spare tube with a ziptie through it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e4) Allow some time for the sealant to pool at the bottom.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e5) Remove the valve core\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e6) Drop the dipstick through the valve core until it hits the tire. Make sure the head doesn't hit the valve.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e7) Pull the dipstick out and read the amount of sealant by how much sticks on the dipstick.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt helps to know how high on the dipstick the proper amount of sealant is, and it will vary from tire to tire, so you might want to take a measurement as soon as you install a tire with fresh sealant so you can compare. Otherwise you can use it as a gauge to see roughly how much is remaining.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is based on a design that Orange Seal used to sell. I saw it and thought it was clever, so I made it for myself. I was recommending it to someone and discovered Orange Seal no longer sells them individually, so I'm listing them here. Since then, I've discovered that Orange Seal still includes theirs with their tubeless kits, but as far as I can tell, you can't buy them individually, so I've decided to keep listing mine.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAvailable in singles, 5 pack, or 10 pack. Also available in an extra long 200mm version for big fat bike tires or particularly deep road rims. The 125mm is going to be best for most folks.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOther options: Use the threaded end of a spoke - the threads will catch the sealant, but that only works to a certain depth. If you have a ziptie that is long enough, cut off the leader and get the ziptie as straight as possible, and the teeth will catch the sealant. Obviously I think this thing works better than those workarounds, but those are good options to have if you find yourself without.
